Last week the final virtual reality (VR) staff wellbeing workshop took place at Barnet Hospital. The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust innovation team have been awarded a grant from the Royal Free Charity, to pilot the use of VR headsets to improve staff wellbeing.

The workshop at Barnet Hospital pilot follows those at Chase Farm and the Royal Free hospitals. All have received great feedback from staff. One member of staff tried the headset before going in to surgery and said it helped them feel more relaxed.

The innovation team will now collate staff feedback from all three workshops. They will use this information to inform their next steps and are hoping to have headsets available for staff use before the end of the year.
